VERY VERY IMPORTANT PURPLE 2nd BLOCK

Purple 2nd Block...We had some issues. The dropbox was not working correctly, and I only have movies from 4 groups. Do not get rid of the those movies. Bring them on Tuesday and we will turn them in then. So far they look AWESOME!!!!! I am so excited to watch them and show them off in class Tuesday while we paint.

Mi Vida Loca

We are going to begin to study Mi Vida Loca, provided by BBC, to utilize our Spanish skills. Please bring your headphones to class everyday, as we will be watching the series individually so we may interact with the program and complete quizzes and homework. =)

Make sure you have the items to finish up your videos tomorrow. Double check that the script is error-free, as most of the points will come from its accuracy.

1. dox x once (2 x 11) = 22 answer: veintidos

2. diez - tres (10-3) = 7 answer: siete

3. siete - cinco (7-5) = 2 answer: dos

4. sies x tres (6 x 3) = 18 answer: dieciocho

5. nueve x tres (9 x 3) = 27 answer: veintisiete

6. ocho x cero (8 x 0) = 0 answer: cero

8. treinta/cero (30/0) = n/a can't divide by zero...no answer...jejeje  = hehehe in Spanish =)

I adore you all, and I am so excited you could find me on Facebook. But, I just can't add you while you are in my class. :( Aww, I know. If I ignore your request, it is only for school reasons. Plus, I'm way boring. You guys don't want my status updates anyway--it's mostly, man her classes rock and mundane things like what I am cooking for dinner. :p If you really want me on there, wait until class ends and you get promoted to Spanish 2. =) Then re-add me. Nothing personal. My kids at Calloway can tell you I did it to them, too. Plus, I will be making us a twitter account soon so we can stay in touch and give quick homework tips. Parent Teacher Conferences, otherwise known as Back to School Night is:

Please come!!! I really want to meet you! I will have videos of your kids speaking Spanish, their super cool paintings, and even quizzes to show you. Let me brag on them. I can't wait!

My room is 222B and please call the school to schedule an appointment to make sure you do not have to wait.

Last. If you read the newspaper and toss it, please give it to your child to bring to class for next Monday for when we turn into surrealist Miró style painters. It would help so much.

**The picture below is an example of the masterpieces we will make to be followed with descriptions so we can learn our colors, shapes, and amounts (lots, little, some, none, etc.), and practice our numbers.

Also, if you shop at Save-A-Lot your child can bring those receipts to me if they wish and Save-A-Lot will give our class some money back to buy things for our various projects. Trust me--I have some cool ideas I would love to share with you on what we could do with the extra funding. =)

Homework for my Purple Day Flashes PLUS HELP =)

Hey guys:

Tarea: Please bring PROPS and SCRIPTS for video. We record Wednesday. Please do EVERYTHING possible to be here. =) You will have the class to record, work on putting it together, and to take retakes. If you need to leave something in the room, you can. I get to school early and I will be there, or you can bring stuff before 1st block. I always lock my door when I'm not around so it will be safe. Trust me--I don't want my stuff taken either. ;)

Worksheet on Numbers:

Tip: top section. it helps to write the actual numbers and then translate to Spanish. USE THAT STUDY GUIDE. I will take off for misspellings or wrong accents when the answer is in front of you.

And the jeje is a hint that you can't dividir, or divide by 0. =) So n/a no answer there. =)

Lapiz or lapieces, those are pencils.

Libros-books

Cuardernos...you should remember...notebooks/binders.
