Today ¿Cómo eres?

Today we will be watching Sr. Jone's video and answering his questions.

When we get to the library:

go to http://zachary-jones.com/spanish/archives/22805
watch the video again
Post your answer.

REMEMBER: Copy the post before you hit submit in case you run into internet issues, or it says posting too fast. If it says posting too fast, it did not go through, you must try again.

Please add as much as you can to the post. Ask questions to him if you want!
¿Cómo eres? What are you like?
 ¿Eres _____? Are you ______

You must respond to all questions.

When he asks ¿Cómo eres? What are you like you will respond with:

Yo soy and 3-5 things you are. I will post the translated list below.

Remember:

If you are a guy, it will end with -o (ex: atrevido--daring)

If you are a girl, it will end with -a (ex: atrevida--daring)

For a word that ends with r, like trabajador:

Guys leave as it is (trabajador)

Girls: add a (trabajadora)

To say you are not something: Yo no soy (I am not.....)

Ser

Don't forget to study pronouns and ser conjugation. Pronouns are IMPORTANT, please believe me!

Tarea: ser worksheet front and back. Post questions here as comments, I'll respond.

Apuntes: notes

yo-soy (I am )

tú-eres (you are)

él, ella, Usted, or it--es (he, she, you-formal, it, is)

nosotros, nosotras--somos (we are)

vosotros, vosotras--sois (you plural (you guys, yall, etc from Spain) are)

ellos, ellas, ustedes--son (they are, you plural (you guys, yall, from Latin America) are)

No only goes in front of the verb.... yo no soy (I am not) tú no eres (you are not), etc.

Adjectives must match Subject Pronoun (yo, tú, etc.)

o and a shows gender

-o --masucline (1 boy)
ex: él es alto (he is tall)

-os masculine (2 or more boys)

Ellos son altos (they are tall)

-a feminine (1 girl)

Ella es alta (she is tall)

-as feminine (2 or more girls)

Nosotras son altas (we-girls--are tall)

if it does not end it a or o it can be either, don't change except to make plural

inteligente (boy or girl that is smart)

inteligentes (add the s to make it plural)

intelectual 1 intelectual person, intelectuales, add es to make it plural....

Grades Updated

Grades are updated for all classes on Infinite Campus, please check them.

If you have a zero, it means I don't have work the work, regardless of whether you were absent or just did not turn it in. Please get me the work. Some no name papers may be found on the board, please claim them or I toss them. Some of you who were absent have still not given me your videos. It is a now a 0. I need them by Wednesday or it stays that way.

Some of you kept your Subject Pronoun Quiz. I distinctly remember you getting 100%'s, but I don't have the paper to record it. Please bring them back and get credit, so you do not have to retake it! =)

Gracias!
