Tomorrow and Monday will be your food culture days. Please bring your food, drinks, cups, etc. that you signed up for. If you didn't sign up to bring anything, you still can!
Also, we will be making our own papel picado. If you have scissors, please bring them to help you. If you do not, I have some you can use. They just our kid scissors and hard to cut the fragile tissue paper with. sharp scissors, barber scissors, or small manicure scissors work the best!
Start reviewing #s and ser for next week so we can hit on time and then move on to saying what we like using the verb gustar. Expect a quiz next week over ser, numbers, and greetings to review.
SPANISH CLUB:
We meet tomorrow during club times. We will decorate sugar skulls, discuss our field trip Nov. 17th, and vote on tshirt designs. If you have not paid dues, $5, you may not attend. Please be focused and attentive. People who distract or take away from our club will be asked to leave and will not be able to participate in our field trip.

- Escriban (write) your responses on papél
- In Mexico, people are preparing to celebrate el día de los muertos, Day of the Dead.
- Do you think this will be like our Halloween?
- List at least THREE ways you think will celebrate this holiday.
No talking or discussing with each other! I want to know what you think!
Group Activity
- Get in groups of THREE.
- Get a packet for Webquest (1/group)
- Go to the following links to find answers for your webquest:
- If you have a question, please raise hand.
- When done, group a word search and matching sheet (front and back) from chair, 1/person. Use the word quest and websites to help you complete the matching section.
- Turn in the Webquest sheet (with all group members names) once the matching side is completed.
- Finish the crossword.
- Anything left incomplete will be homework.

- Write a paragraph in English using your Venn Diagram and Notes answering the following question.
- Explain how Mexicans celebrate the lives of their loved ones during Dia de los Muertos.
- Include at least 2 ways they honor them.
- Briefly explain how the Mexican attitude toward death is different from the American and how this can be seen during dia de los muertos (2 ways).
- You must include all of these components in your open response to receive full credit.
- It should be logical, coherent, with correct spelling and grammar.
- You may type or hand write your response...however, I need a HARD copy.
