This is very important for people who are new to class. I am sorry you have joined us during a chaotic week, and I am working to meet with you all this week to see where you are and what we need to do to get you caught up. I need you to post so I can get your information into our online accounts.


MIDTERMS are due in less than 2 weeks. If you owe me work or a quiz for ANY reason. You must talk to me and have it completed by FRIDAY. This is very important if you did not pass or take the pronoun quiz.

On Infinite Campus...a 0 means you owe me something. A blank space means a couple things: your class did not have time to do that assignment or I have not put grades in it yet. Only worry about 0's.

Our goals:
Our goals until Midterms are to take our ser quiz, finish showing all police videos, review all the material we have had so far, to finish our pizza projects and start presenting. We will also be learning:

time: how to ask for the time and answer with the correct time in Spanish
dates: days of the week, months, years, how to ask for the date, how to give the date, and how Spanish calendars are set up
age: how to give our age in Spanish, and how to ask for someone's age
Mi Vida Loca: getting through 1-4

After midterms we will review everything we have had and take our first 'real' test. The goals for October are:

finish presentations of pizza project
working with Sr. Jones
Mi Vida Loca and testing over the information
learning to say to like
learning 100 common verbs
learning conjugation of normal present tense verbs (ser is irregular--sorry guys! Ill explain!)
Making E-Harmony style dating videos (individual)

In October the pace will be PICKING UP. Be prepared. 

I will start asking people to sign up for Spanish Club a week from Monday. Dues are $5. If money is an issue, see me privately to discuss. I do not want ANYONE to miss out on Spanish Club over $5. It isn't fair.

If you are interested in offices, see me. I will be meeting with assigned officers this week to start getting the logistics planned out. So if you are:

VP: Emma Simms

Plan on letting me know when we can meet this week. We need to get posters hung, sign up lists made, and discuss who we want to elect for Treasurer, Secretary, Reporter, and Social Chair.
